Choosing Your Full Storage Bed

If you are looking to maximise your storage space without cluttering your room with extra furniture you should certainly consider the full storage bed.

Whether you are furnishing a guest room or a main bedroom the chances are that you could do with more storage space. We all see the pictures in magazines of perfectly arranged rooms, and they are never cluttered with excess furniture, so how do they manage it? Well the answer is clever storage and this is exactly what the full storage bed is.

Before you dash out and buy a full storage bed it is worth having a think about what you would like to store in the drawers. The reason for this is because not all the storage is the same.

There are two main things to look out for. Firstly, the depth of the drawers is an important factor. If you want to store extra duvets and pillows then it is worth looking at the deep style drawers. These are often awkward items to find homes for, so under the bed can be a perfect solution to a current storage problem.

If however you already have the perfect place for these items and you are looking for storage for clothing then there are shallower drawers, this does not mean that you will loose any storage space it will simply be divided up differently.

The second thing to consider is how you access the storage space. Measurements are key to getting the correct full size storage bed. When you have drawers under a bed you need to be able to access these drawers, so you cannot put the bed in a corner as you have to be sure that you have left enough space around the bed to access all your belongings.

If you do not have the room to be able to open the drawers then there is one other option for your full size storage bed. This is the style where the base which supports the mattress lifts up allowing access from the foot of the bed. This is a great design, but best for items which you no not want to get at too often.

Once you have your full size storage bed you will soon realise that this is a great way to keep items safely stored out of sight and still accessible.
